Pablo's
Story
Here is where Pablo's story of his love for nature and all the types of wood within it begins; When he was a young boy, Pablo used to see his father leaving to go moose hunting with friends to enjoy an amazing time in nature, He would come back home with the moose tied to the top of the truck. Naturally, Pablo had the urge to climb on top. He was absolutely amazing by these giant animals, that he became instantly overwhelmed with a passion and desire to learn as much as he could about these animals, and the forest around them. When he was young, Jean-Noel (Father), and Pauline (Mother), purchased him his first Hunting Magazine subscription, He would burrow through all the information the articles had to offer in little time.
Now older, Pablo has learnt almost all there is to know about Forestry and has learned the names of every tree within the forests he once knew. He worked for 20 years in the bush learning how to live of the surrounding land and use natural homoeopathic remedies to cure ailments. He used his skills that survival training had taught him to become a foreman of the woodsman trade. He has always worked with wood, even at an early age, in school.
When he stumbled onto his first piece of burl in the forest, he was fascinated at the woods appearance. He brainstormed for hours thinking up ways to possibly use the wood productively. He then got the idea that wood could be used to sustain food, Which is what it has been doing for many, many years; allowing our civilization to prosper. This idea formulated from not destroying the wood, but using it to create and sustain. This is when his passion of burl artwork started, He immediately contacted his family to let them know of his discovery.
It's been 35 years now and wood is still Pablo's passion is still alive, he feels the wood, and knows what shape it's going to be before it's even crafted one bit. His love for woodworking has kept his passion alive and he is getting better every day. He finds lot's of rustic pieces of wood in the local forests and uses theem to create uniquely fine artwork that can be used as practical or impractical centre pieces, decore pieces, accent pieces, and much more.
